After receiving Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from Ankara University Chemical Engineering department, Metin GÜRÜ received his Ph.D. degree from Gazi University Chemical Engineering Department. He started to career as a lecturer at Gazi University. He became assistant professor there in 2006. Then, he has continued as associated professor and professor. He has 150 articles indexed by Web of Science on chemical technology, energy systems, environmental science, material science, hydrology, defense industry, boron technology and biotechnology. Also, there are 28 public articles, 6 patents and 40 Turkish standards copyrights belonging to him. In addition to these, 76 articles are published in international, and 39 articles are published in national syposiums. He has a chapter of High Potential Hydrogen Storage Materials in the book named Boron Hybrides. Besides, he is the author of 11 books in different fields. Moreover, he is awarded by TUBA because of his valuable studies. There are totally 38 projects performed by him with DPT, TUBITAK, BOREN. SANTEZ, University and ETI Mine Works projects are conducted. He has been an editor of 4 journals and a member of editorial board many times. He is the current chief editor of BORON Journal. Additionally, he has supervised more than 46 master degree and 20 PhD degree students. For twelf years, he has been the member and the head of Turkish Standards Institute Specialization committee. He has been assigned as the dean of Engineering Faculty, and the head of graduate school of natural and applied sciences at Gazi University. Currently, he continues to perform his researches at Gazi University chemical engineering department.
